Pavilion for Crescent Lawn
I brought the sketches to life by translating the speckles into O-shaped paper pieces, wondering how the shadows would fall, and how the whale-like structure might shift depending on where I placed each piece. I liked the unpredictability of how something so delicate could appear to breathe when the light hit it just right.
What fascinated me most was the idea that the structure I had built could be experienced differently each time, shaped not only by its form but by the light, time, and perspective of the viewer. It reminded me that architecture is not just about objects but more about how spaces interact with people.
